Is Framing Insects Ethical?

We work with multiple farms and projects around the world in order to help preserve the Rain Forests as well as providing developing countries' farmers an income which helps support their local economy. All butterflies that are used have explicitly lived their lifespan which lasts between 2 weeks and a month and none are endangered species.

The farms we currently work in are in the following countries: UK, Southern and Central Africa, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, South Eastern Asia and Eastern Europe.

We work with multiple farms around the world in order to preserve the rainforests as well as providing developing countries' farmers an income which helps support their local economy.

We develop a new micro-project with: Family entrepreneurs around the World who breed, catch, dry and set specimens at the best time. For each caught insect, we make sure hundreds of others will be born, planting host and food plants, maintaining the environment as intact as they possibly can.

All of our specimens are legally collected under the most stringent government regulations, after their short life span has ended. The tremendous amount of paperwork and licenses required to legally collecting, export and then import these specimens into the UK assure that none are endangered species.  Farmers cultivate larval and adult feeding plants avoiding any type of pesticides — even organic ones — as toxic beneficial organisms. Insects like butterflies and insect like bees are pollinators so extremely beneficial to local nature. Consequently the environment is kept unaltered where these types of activities flourish.
Our displays that have been properly prepared and treated to last a lifetime. We guarantee that your new insect will be the finest quality possible and properly spread to display all of their amazing beauty. The only thing you need to do is keep them dry and out of direct sunlight to prevent heat damage. All of our handmade museum displays are made with 99% UV blocking glass so the vibrant colors of your butterflies and insects will remain that way forever!

All of our displays are built with this exceptional conservation quality glass that actually blocks 99% of all UV rays preventing the fading of your valuable insects. You will not get this level of UV blocking in any mass-produced store bought imported frame. Most displays have little or no UV blocking attributes to them at all.
